Standing in Unity or Falling in Division

 
 







 




Some preach united we stand,

Divided we fall

But indeed for over 3 decades,

Though united,

We have stood in division.

From the leaders, to the followers, 

To various religions,

Ethnic groups and cultures,

Division and hatred have overtime

Overshadowed the unity and Love

We preach.

Others preach division,

But why not unity? 

An argument they have

Over the agreement that

Redefines united we stand,

Divided we fall.

Pondering over the argument

In support of their argument,

Divided we individually rise,

United we continue to collectively fall

Will be their agreement. 

Where is Nigeria heading to?

To a united or divided state,

 

Only time will tell and save her.

But must she wait for time 

Or,

Rather act now in defense of 

The unity she has for long preached,

Because there is no time

To waste but

To taste the sweetness of 

United we stand,

Divided we fall.

Love is all we need

To keep the feel of unity

And see in us the zeal to

Reach the heights that 

We have for long preached.
